BELGOSPACE

BELGOSPACE is the Belgian association of space industry, gathering the majority of Belgian companies and research centers active in the field of space technology. BELGOSPACE was created in 1962 at the request of the Government to satisfy the need for coordination of the ELDO and ESRO activities. Since Belgospace has become the industry forum where common business problems and the main options relative to the strategy that Belgium should adopt in the space domain, are discussed. In 2004, the members decided to widen access to the association to educational institutions in Belgium that are active in close relation with the space sector and have significant technological assets. Through this opening to the academic world, Belgospace is the only association, at the federal level, that wants to promote the dialogue between the academic world and industry while defending the interests of the sector at the same time.

BELGOSPACE MEMBERS ARE ACTIVE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

  • The satellites for science, earth observation, telecommunications and navigation.

  • The launchers and space transportation.

  • Man in space.

  • The technological and scientific research
